Engineered Stone

Engineered or man-made stone products are increasingly popular. Engineered stone is not a true natural stone, but creates a more durable, cheaper alternative. While it can provide a similar look to natural stone, it lacks the characteristic variations and grain of natural stone. In general, engineered stone is considered more durable, heat- and stain-resistant, less porous, and more continuous or “even” in appearance.

Most engineered stone products consist of at least 90 percent natural quartz bound together by resins.
